PTA Valentines Childrens Party

Thursday 11th of February.

The PTA will be holding a Valentine’s party for the children in Barcombe School Sports Hall 3.15pm – 4.45pm. Along with music and dancing there will be lots for the children to do including Face painting, Henna tattoos, Decorate a biscuit , Lucky dips and the very popular Glo sticks. Please send your children with pocket money as the additional activites will range in price from 20p – 50p.

Ticket prices are  £2.50 per child or £5.00 for a family ticket. The cost of the ticket includes the children’s dress down day donation ( yes last day of term is Non School Uniform day), a snack, drink and the disco. The Tickets are on sale from PTA members in the school playground.

This looks set to be a great afternoon for the children with lot’s of Valentine’s fun! Parents are more than welcome to stay with their children and join in the activities, especially Reception and Year 1. Please make sure that your children are wearing flat, non marking soled shoes as we will not be laying the protective flooring in the Sports Hall.

Pick up for the children is 4.45pm from the external Sports Hall doors ( this next to reception class )

PTA 2009/2010

As you will now know, you have a new PTA committee and this is our first post on the blog.  Hopefully you will all have received a copy of our newsletter for Term 2 listing our intentions for the run up to Christmas.  We do however have an addition to make, as follows:  Friday 4th December 2009 will be a Non-Uniform Day for children at Barcombe school.  £1 per child, and we would love to see the children in fancy dress as a colourful and fun start to the festive season!

FASHION SHOW 1st May 2009

• Fashion Show – Ladies Night, Friday 1st May. 
• Clothes and all accessories available to buy. 
• Doors open 7.30pm.
• Licensed Bar.
• Tickets £5 (includes canapes & glass of bubbly). 
• Cash, cheques and debit & credit cards all accepted on the night for any purchases.

QUIZ NIGHT – Watch this space new date coming for June

Unfortunately our Quiz Night, due to take place on 24th April, has been postponed until June (after our Witsun half term).  Watch this space and our PTA Board in the playground for the new date/details.  We hope you can enjoy a summer’s evening challenge – ‘a you smarter than a 10 year old!’
